Infiniti G Series G37 is a solid car and boasts a lot of standard quality equipment  It is a perfect alternative to conventional sports convertibles. However, do not fall in love with the looks, better to test drive the G Series because body shakes on rough roads and average performance may hinder you. Like other sport convertibles, it costs a bomb to own and drive. It is pre-loaded with equipment that you have to pay to own. All the G Coupe and Convertible models for UK are right hand drives.

The stock kit list is long, which defines the reason for the high cost of the vehicle. If you are looking for economical sports ride, then you have to look elsewhere because it will cost you a goldmine to run too. The V6 engine strives to provide good economy and you hardly get 20mpg in daily commuting. It has high CO2 emissions, high tax bills and costly insurance. However, it is expected for every car with such a class.

If you are looking for more muscles and American looks, then consider the Chevrolet Corvette. Corvette has long history of loyal customers since it was manufactured.

Power & Performance

Both the Infiniti G Coupe and Convertible comes with 3.7 litre V6 Petrol engines. The V6 engine isn’t as quick as the official figures suggest. Both the model use same 7 speed automatic transmission with manual mode, which accelerates 0-62 in 6.4 seconds for Convertible and 5.9 seconds for Coupe.

The ride is smooth as long as you stay on motorway or smooth roads. Some of the car reviews states that ride jittery on un-even roads and road bumps feel right on your back. There isn’t positive nod for the drive, but steering is remarkably pleasant and quick.

The wind noise is suppressed at motorway speeds, but road noise is too much on few surfaces. The engines are quiet and calm, but hit the accelerator hard and you will hear a lovely V6 roar. You will enjoy the ride with roof down.

Interior & Exterior

Interior is perfectly crafted and most of the features are easy to use. You can adjust the seats and steering column according to your preference. You never lose sight of the dials, thanks to auto adjustment with the wheel. You get good visibility and a rearview camera is standard.

G series is loaded with plenty of features like touch screen navigation, cruise control, dual zone climate control, keyless go, Bluetooth, MP3 connection, adaptive headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels and scratch shield paint. The interior is comfortable with red leather covering and stained Maple wood trim.

Safety & Reliability

The Infiniti G37 Coupe and Convertible has not yet crash tested by Euro NCAP. However, it is loaded with safety equipment like six airbags, traction and stability control, and much more.

The interior is upscale, but some of the reviewers think that material is cheap and used from Nissan cars. The build quality is solid and gives you a premium feel.

eBest Cars Verdict

It is no doubt a good-looking Coupe Cabriolet, but you won’t find many Infiniti dealers in UK. However, the numbers will gradually increase in near future. It is not easy to get it serviced due to low number of dealerships. Infiniti provides “Total Ownership Experience” a high level of customer service experience. The buying costs are high and so do the running costs, but it is loaded with plenty of good equipment as standard.
