Power & Performance

The new Infiniti M is a performance oriented vehicle. It comes with two engines V6 M37 and V8 M56. The Infiniti M37 is powered by a 3.7 liter V6 engine, which produces 330 horsepower. It is quite impressing for a V6 six cylinder engine. It is the same engine that being used in Infiniti G37.

The Infiniti M56 has 5.6 liter V8 engine, which produces massive 420 horsepower. That’s extra power and 60 horsepower more than the BMW 550 V8 and enough to challenge the supercharged version of Jaguar XF. The estimated fuel economy is also good with 18 city and 26 mpg on highway with simple V6 M37 and 17/24 for AWD M37. On other hand, M56 has 16/25 and with AWD 16/23.

Infiniti M comes with seven speed automatic transmission for both the models, which can be used manually through the steering wheel mounted paddles. It also offers four wheel drive option for the first time. The steering system is perfect to handle the large car with finesse. If you are looking for extra sharp handling, then you can add Infiniti Active Trace Technology. The braking system position aids the car in positioning during rough turns. Infiniti M is a big car, but the performance it offers like a sports car.

Interior & Exterior

The interior of Infiniti M is quite impressive with so many features like Infiniti Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, Mild-flow vent located on upper dash, Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control system, Rear console-mounted air vents and rear floor heater ducts, Power windows with illuminated switches and one-touch auto-up/down with auto-reverse feature, Power door locks with automatic locking feature and Sequential welcome lighting illuminated entry system. There are also many features standard and optional.

The exterior is elegantly designed and liked by many reviewers. The exterior features includes Automatic-on/off High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional xenon headlights with wiper interlock, UV-reducing solar glass, Power sliding glass moon roof with one-touch auto-open/close, tilt feature and sliding sunshade and many other extra ordinary features.

Safety & Reliability

The Infiniti M is the safest car to drive, but there is no crash test data available. There are many safety features in new Infiniti M like Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System (AABS), dual-stage front supplemental air bags with seat belt sensors and an occupant-detection sensor, Driver and front-passenger side-impact supplemental air bags, Roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags, Front-seat Active Head Restraints, Electronic Brake force Distribution, Traction Control System, and many other safety features.

The Infiniti M is the reliable car to drive, but there is no reliability data available for the 2011 model. However, on the past performance we have rated Infiniti M to be the most reliable car. We recommend to test drive the new Infiniti M.
