McLaren’s new entry level sports McLaren 570S car will go on sale from next month starting at £140,500. It will be the first car from McLaren entry level series to go on sale. The is revealed ahead of New York Motor Show and it will directly go Head to head with competitors Porsche 911 Turbo S And Audi R8 V10 Plus.
It is first time McLaren is introducing its race car DNA in a new entry level sports car. It is the birth of new entry level Sports Series by McLaren. McLaren is focusing on three rung model strategy that will also include Super Series and Ultimate Series.
McLaren is expecting to produce 4000 cars with their new range of series including the new 570S Coupe. The new coupe will be powered by a tweaked 3.8 litre V8 Twin Turbo engine. And the power is distributed to rear wheels throw seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
The tweaked engine produces massive 562bhp And 443 lb ft of torque. It reaches 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds and 0 to 124mph in just 9.2 seconds.
As compared to the rivals, McLaren 570S Coupe is a decent sports car with almost the same figures as pricey Audi R8 V10 Plus, which produces 610bhp. Audi R8 is 0.4 seconds slower than 570S Coupe in 0 to 124mph comparison. However, Audi R8 V10 Plus has top speed of 203 mph and it cost £137,100 less than 570S Coupe. On the other hand, Porsche is expensive with £142,500.
McLaren 570S Coupe is aerodynamically designed to provide better performance. The car is refined to produce good performance and control. According to McLaren, it produces 258g/km of CO2 of emissions and a fuel economy of 25.5mpg.
