Power & Performance
The off-road power amazes the majority by pushing the SUV out of trouble every time. The 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine produces 266 lb ft of torque. Not meant for on-road commuting and the drive is just ok.
You will be amazed by the off the road performance of Land Rover Defender. It will get you through almost everything. You will feel a lot of jerking noise and steering is quite slow.
The new model is upgraded to produce less noise on the road. Despite making a lot of changes you will still feel road and wind noise at UK limit.
Interior & Exterior
You cannot think a lot about comfort when driving Land Rover Defender because there isn’t any. You cannot adjust driving seat (only forward and backward) nor the steering wheel. There are few easy to use dashboard controls without confusing anything.
It is a good versatile car comes with 14 different body styles to match your needs. All versions offer good boot space and you can change the seating according to your needs.
There is not much high-tech equipment inside the SUV because it is not meant for luxury entrainment. The XS model gets air-conditioning, CD stereo gets tweeter speaker and iPod socket.
Exterior isn’t stylish and updated, but more classical and old school. It is meant to be driven on the mountains with no concern of proper road tracks.

There is no compromise on the reliability. It is built to work for years without causing you any issues thanks to its mechanics. Bodywork is made from simple aluminium panels that are easy to replace and are cheap to buy.

Starting price isn’t cheap considering the basic level of equipment you will get. However, it is surprisingly affordable to run, maintain or fix. This is kind of a car that is always in demand and that is why resale values are good. Not a greenest SUVs emitting 266 – 295g/km of CO2 and falls in tax band M. It is a SUV that can take you to places where other luxury cars say sorry. We recommend it for off-road, but for normal daily commuting inside the city, you may have to move on.
